About Us
 
 
The GC Fashion Incubator is a non-profit industry association, providing a platform for new, student, emerging and established designers to launch and grow their labels. It aims to create and build business partnerships across the industry, engaging designers as well as suppliers.
  
The only association of its kind on the Gold Coast, GC Fashion Incubator evolved from industry demand.  The GC Fashion incubator primarily operators with the support of Business GC, Gold Coast City Council’s Economic Development agency and Sanctuary Cove, as well as additional support from through membership and corporate partnerships.
 
The GC Fashion Incubator prides itself on presenting a podium for which emerging designers can maximise local growth and achieve individual goals.
 
The incubator comprises of; events to encourage networking and stimulate business relationships, workshops to support the learning the growth of designers’ professional development and a continuing workspace to act as a haven for designers to work with the resources necessary to develop their creative ideas.
 
It aims to create and build business partnerships across the industry, engaging designers in fashion and associated creative areas with industry and business suppliers.
 
With retail space and mentor space at Sanctuary Cove Marine Village and additional showroom and seminar space at the Bermuda Point Building in Varsity Lakes.  GC Fashion Incubator showcases the Gold Coasts hottest upcoming designers and gains a lot of media attention and community support. 
 
We are always creating new and exciting programs and events for our members to grow and to provide opportunities to showcase to a growing consumer base.
 
 
The GC Fashion Incubator is the collection of local fashion talent, from students to established designers. A non-profit association, GC Fashion Incubator is bringing unity to the industry, creating and building business partnerships by engaging designers as well as suppliers.
 
The GC Fashion Incubator is headed up by Donna Caley, Project Director and Chair. Donna has more than 20 years experience in creating, producing and directing high profile, mass media fashion events.
 
Most recently, Donna worked as the Event Director for the NRA’s Australian Fashion Design Awards & Festival, producing some of Australia’s most influential and iconic fashion events and helping launch the careers of many Australian fashion designers.
 
 
 
 
Our Objectives
 
The objectives of the GC Fashion Incubator are to:
 
  • Provide a platform for emerging designers to establish and grow their labels
  • Provide a network for the fashion and association industries and create supply chains
  • Provide support and share industry knowledge to this evolving industry
  • Create, profile and nurture both emerging and established fashion designers and labels
  • Create pathways and partnerships between:
    • suppliers;
    • designers;
    • manufacturers; and
    • business enterprise.
 
Retail Store
 
The Business GC Fashion Incubator as has a retail store and office space in the Marine Village at Sanctuary Cove.  Emerging Designer sell the latest ranges from the store.  Bridal deisgner Jemae also has a studio "by appointment" at the BusinessGC Fashion Incubator in the Marine Village @ Sanctuary Cove.
